COMMUNITY APPLE PRESSING DAY

St Saviour’s Eco Church Group in partnership with Greener Brockenhurst are running a Community Apple Pressing event – Details of timings and location below.  You can bring all your excess apples along and turn them into delicious fresh apple juice.  All you need to do is:

• Pick your apples (windfalls are ok as long as they are not rotten or dirty)

• Find some containers / bottles (with lids) to take your apple juice home in.

• Wash your bottles thoroughly, then sterilise -  Choose a method like submerging in boiling water, a sterilising tablet, or a dishwasher cycle.

• Come along!

 

Please note thatThe juice that will be produced will not have been pasteurized and therefore may contain bacteria that can cause illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.
